When I first heard Final Fantasy IV: Celtic Moon, I was mesmerized by the arrangements. I immediately picked up Máire Breatnach's other albums and listened to them religiously. I found that I immediately latched onto the Irish Traditional Music genre; moreover, I noticed that much of the Final Fantasy repertoire seems to fit the idiom particularly well. For this track, I tried to replicate her arrangement style as much as possible, also drawing fairly heavily on Eithne Ní Uallacháin's arrangement style in Lá Lugh, a seminal Irish band of the early 1990s. I felt as though the Irish style would fit particularly well with On Our Way and found the piece very easy to adapt into that style. The title is a translation of the original Japanese title, 旅の途中で, into the Irish language. I'm excited to present "i Lár an Aistir" as an Irish style track and hope that more arrangements of a similar nature follow.
